FAQ
Got questions about my live trainings? You might find the answers below!
With microblading, you insert the pigment into the skin by creating tiny or “micro” cuts on the skin. This technique works really well for clients with tight, normal skin. If the skin has bigger pores or oilier than normal, microblading, and achieving the best results can be challenging.
While microblading is easier than machine hair stroke, it needs touch up and sometimes the healed results are patchy and uneven after the first procedure.
With the machine hair stroke technique, it’s easier to achieve beautifully-healed results, clear, crisp hair strokes, and adjust the darkness accordingly. The healing time of the skin is also shorter and doesn’t scar even you make mistakes during the procedure. The same cannot be said with microblading if you end up cutting too deep on the skin (only our school teaches microblading that won’t leave scars on your clients’ skin)
With machine hair stroke, one procedure is usually enough as the healed result typically looks like as it does right after the procedure.
However, this is not an easy technique and I only recommend it if you’ve already practiced microblading and your hand is stable enough to draw smooth, fine lines. With that said, people who draw nail art will usually find this course easy even without prior microblading lessons.
The good news is if you’ve taken my microblading course, then you’re ready for my advanced machine hair stroke course!
With machine powder brows you can create any type of eyebrow look, from the most natural soft dust effect to any darkness that your client desires.
With machine powder brows, the transition on the brows also looks smoother and more seamless compared to doing manual shading.
With machine shading, you can also create a crisp outline and tail, which will also benefit you once you decide to do eyeliner or lips. With manual shading you have more restrictions, so you can’t create a crisp outline.
Also, the time it takes to do each procedure is different. Using the machine for powder brows only takes around 1.5 hours, a lot faster compared to doing it manually which takes around 3 hours.
In Taiwan, not a lot of aestheticians are doing machine shading because of the belief that the machine will scratch the skin too much or the pigment won’t be inserted properly because the skin is already too irritated. BUT! That’s only because they are not aware of the right machine that’s gentle and soft on the skin.
In our powder brows course, we’re giving you this machine so you can experience its benefits for yourself.
I recommend learning machine shading first because it’s easier than microblading and machine hair stroke. The best route is to take my machine shading and microblading courses so you will have an arsenal of skills and start getting clients.
For beginners, machine shading with microblading is the best course combination. If you’re more advanced, the machine hair stroke course is best for you.
You only need to be passionate! You’ll need to practice and practice and practice until you perfect the skill, but you don’t need a degree whatsoever to be able to join this course.
A pencil, pen, and eraser–that’s it! You just need to show up as your amazing self! All the materials you need are included in the course registration fee.
The course is usually held on the weekdays, around 11 am to 6 pm
In our experience, it’s best when our students work on their friends as it is less stressful and you can spend more time on the procedure. Please bring a friend as your model on the day of the live procedure. If you need us to find a model for you, please let us know so we can send you an invoice for this additional service.
You’ll have one month to find a model as the live procedure will be done after you’ve practiced for a month. You can assure your model that you’ll be guided by me, your teacher, so they shouldn’t worry about their brows looking awful!
You’ll receive the tools that you need for class, but we’ll also send you the links to all the tools that you need for the procedure. They’re not expensive at all, except for the needles and the ink. The good thing is they will last you a long time and are worthy investments for your business.
Absolutely! You actually need to take a lot of photos on the day of the procedure as you can use them for your portfolio or your Instagram feed. The videos will also be available so you can watch them again when you need to review the lessons.
There are two teachers and we both speak Chinese and English.
Yes, they’re included so you have enough energy throughout the class!
