What pigment brands do I use? BeautySlesh pigment recommendation

Being in the PMU industry for a couple of years, I can say that I’ve already tried a number of pigments trying to look for the perfect pigment for each procedure. Yes, I do use different pigments for different procedures as each technique requires the right consistency, water content, color retention, etc. So if you want to know which pigments I recommend, just keep reading.

Let’s start with microblading.

For microblading, I like using Phibrows Supe pigments. These pigments are not too thick but not also too watery. As I mostly work with Asian clients, the colors are also perfect. My favorites are Brown 1, 2, and 3.

For Phibrows, it’s a mixture of synthetic and organic pigment components so they last 1 – 2 years. They are also neutral meaning not too cold and not warm. They best represent the natural eyebrow color, and for microblading it’s really best to stick to your client’s natural hair color, so they are really perfect.

**You can also use Tina Davies for Microblading.

Tina Davies are organic pigments, so if you went too deep, they last longer and have higher retention. They can last up to 3 years and are not recommended for beginners.

Shading, Powder Brows

For powder brows, I use Tina Davies I <3 Ink Brow Collection. I like using it as powder brows require pigment that’s a bit watery. The colors are also stable and heal true to tone. They might look a little bit warm after the procedure, but it goes away after a few days.

Cons: If you are not used to using this brand, you might notice that it dries up faster than the other pigments. If you are having this problem, I suggest adding a shading solution to your pigment.

I also recently discovered the NE pigments. They are not red after the procedure and the pigment implementation seems faster than Tina Davies. I am still in the process of testing them and have been using them for 3 months. I am really loving their pigments so keep an eye on my updates about this pigment brand on my Instagram @beautyslesh.

Machine Hair Strokes

For hair strokes by machine, I use NE pigments (the one I introduced above). I know most of you haven’t heard of this brand yet, but trust me, this is the real deal. I really like their pigments for machine hair strokes because of their natural, predictable, and true-to-tone results.  And as I mentioned, the colors are easy to implement because it’s more water-like than Tina Davies. The color retention is also higher than other brands. They have 7 brow pigments to choose from which cover all skin types/colors.

Cons: Their shipping time is quite long, can be up to 2 months. So I recommend ordering all the pigments you need and ordering in advance.

Lip Blush

For lip blushing, I use different brands as clients have different color preferences and some brands have limited choices. Below are the brands I mostly use.

Tina Davies’ I <3 Lips Ink Envy and Lust Collections: https://tinadavies.com/collections/i-ink-lip-pigments

Permablend’s Sweet and Sultry Lip Kits: https://permablend.com/collections/lip

My favorite color:  Bazooka

Correctors

For correctors (brows and lips), I also use different brands like Permablend, Evenflo, and NE pigments.

For brows, my favorites are NE green corrector and Permablend’s pumpkin corrector.

For lips, my favorite is the NE orange lip corrector.

Most of the pigment brands also post color charts on their shops which is really helpful and will make you choose the right color for your clients.

If you want to know more about pigments and undertones, I suggest watching my video about it on my Instagram. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/beautyslesh/
